About This Course
A business analyst works between the people who need a change and the people who build it. The job is to find out what the business actually needs, write it down clearly, and keep everyone aligned as the project moves. This business analyst training course teaches those core skills from the ground up, and no prior BA experience is needed.
What the course covers
- The BA role: where analysts fit in a project, and how the job differs on waterfall and agile teams.
- Stakeholder analysis: identifying who a project affects, what each group cares about, and how to manage their involvement.
- Requirements elicitation: running interviews and workshops, observing how work is really done, and using surveys and document review to fill gaps.
- Documenting requirements: writing business and functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that developers and testers can act on.
- Process modeling: mapping current-state and future-state processes with flowcharts so gaps and pain points are easy to see.
- Managing change: handling shifting requirements, prioritizing what matters most, and keeping a trail from each requirement to its outcome.
- Communication: presenting findings, running review sessions, and getting sign-off.
