Tableau is a data visualization tool built for exploring data quickly. You connect to a data source, drag fields onto a canvas, and see the answer as a chart. This Tableau training course focuses on the skills that separate someone who can make a chart from someone who can build a dashboard people use every day.

What the course covers

• Connecting to data: joining and relating tables, choosing between live connections and extracts, and preparing data for analysis.
• Core building blocks: dimensions, measures, and the chart types that answer common business questions, including maps and dual-axis charts.
• Calculations: calculated fields, table calculations, and level of detail (LOD) expressions for questions a simple aggregate cannot answer.
• Interactivity: filters, parameters, and dashboard actions that let users explore the data themselves.
• Dashboard design: layout, color, and formatting choices that make a dashboard easy to read on different screen sizes.
